As someone who gets paid to give investment advice, (among other things) I feel it's of the upmost importance to be highly educated on current investment offerings. Wouldn't you agree?
With that said, the research for this book began in 2017. I've spent countless hours of research, over a 2-year time-frame, learning the intricate details of actively managed mutual funds, passively managed mutual funds, actively managed Exchanged Traded Funds (ETFs), passively managed ETFs, single factor smart beta ETFs, and multi-factor smart beta ETFs. Intricate details such as performance, tax efficiency, management fees, trading costs, and liquidity.
All of the knowledge I gained over the last few years is now contained within the pages of 'Mutual Funds Are So 1999' for you to read.
My hope for this book is that you the investor, may gain some new insight into the world of mutual funds and ETFs that you may not had known prior.
I've been on this Earth for just about forty years now, and I like to think that I've learned a thing or two. Published in September 2018, '28 Things' is a collection of things (pardon the pun) that have shaped and molded me into the person I am today. The book contains life lessons that guide my life as a financial planner, private investment manager, parent, husband, friend, sibling, and writer. Just to name a few.
My hope is that upon reading '28 Things,' some of the life lessons I have learned throughout the years may resonate with you and impact your life in a positive manner.
